Privacy Policy
The short version: Pause Point collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Everything the app knows about your practice stays on your own devices.
1. What we collect
Nothing. Pause Point does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
- There is no account to create and no sign-in of any kind.
- The app contains no analytics, no crash-reporting service, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
- The app includes no third-party SDKs. The only frameworks it uses are Apple's own.
- We do not run any servers, so there is nowhere for your data to go even if we wanted it to.
2. Where your data lives
Your meditation session history, including streaks, totals, and insights, is stored only on your device. If you use iCloud Backup or a device backup, that history is included in your own backup like any other app data, under your own Apple ID. It is never transmitted to us.
Deleting the app deletes its history from that device.
3. Apple Health
Pause Point can optionally log your completed sessions to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes. This is off until you turn it on, and iOS will ask for your permission first.
- The app only writes mindfulness sessions. It never reads any other Health data.
- Health data never leaves your device through Pause Point. Any sharing of Health data is handled by Apple Health itself and by the settings you choose there.
- You can revoke this permission at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps → Pause Point.
4. Notifications
Pause Point uses local notifications, scheduled on your device, for one purpose: to chime when a session ends, even if the app is in the background or the screen is off. No push notifications are sent from any server, because there is no server.
5. Purchases
Pause Point is launching free for early birds. If the app ever offers a purchase in the future, it will be processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, and Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
6. Children's privacy
Pause Point does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing to collect from a child either.
7. Changes to this policy
If our data practices ever change, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. We will not quietly start collecting data; any meaningful change will be clearly described here.
